Senior Manager, Growth Marketing Analytics

Hotels.com are looking for an astute, consultative, passionate, individual with a strong analytical background to lead our Marketing Testing team. The role, and team, will have analytical ownership for testing programmes across our paid marketing channels, developing and embedding best practices and standardised tools, in collaboration with other experts across Hotels.com and Expedia Group.

As part of the Acquisition Marketing Analytics team, you would be working closely with the other highly skilled analysts within the team who partner with our online marketing teams, as well as colleagues across all Hotels.com functions such as Marketing, Finance, Data Science and Online Product. You will also collaborate with experts at our key marketing partners such as Google, Facebook, TripAdvisor and Trivago.

What you’ll do

You will work with your team of 3 analysts to deliver against a broad range of projects, which include:

  • Establishing and embedding best practices for testing and measurement of a variety of online marketing initiatives, including understanding the incremental value of our marketing spend, testing improvements to our bidding models, and changes to the content of our ads
  • Defining requirements for tools/datasets/visualisation products required to automate testing processes (and building prototypes where necessary)
  • Collaborating with other experts on statistical testing across Expedia Group (EG) to share knowledge and learn from the work of the other EG brands
  • Being the Hotels.com lead on a number of cross-EG projects, coordinating across the group to identify, define and implement common methodologies and data solutions
  • Partnering with marketing leaders to make decisions on the implementation of test outcomes, and prioritisation of future initiatives

What you can do

  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills and strong commercial acumen
  • Excellent project and partner management skills: demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously and under a deadline
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts concisely and clearly and comfortable presenting a story to senior leaders
  • Strong SQL skills and knowledge of R (or similar tools like Python) - for data analysis, structuring, transforming and visualising big data
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of online marketing

What you’ve done

  • Experience in online product or marketing experimentation, including design, implementation and measurement of tests
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring junior and more experienced analysts
  • 7+ years’ experience working in a role focused on analytics, statistical modelling, data science or similar
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or similar
  • Travel industry experience a plus
