As an SDET II, it’d be great if you had:

  • A genuine interest in shipping quality applications and belief in more automated testing as opposed to manual testing.
  • An agile mentality whether practiced (i.e., SCRUM, Kanban) or innate (i.e., you have no patience to sacrifice progress for red tape).
  • Ability to quickly automate features while they are being developed in close collaboration with developers to maintain an aggressive release cadence.
  • The ability to communicate effectively to executive audiences; effective communication can manifest as presentations, rapid prototypes or the plain ol’ written word.
  • The ability to reverse engineer existing systems and extend the capabilities of existing solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience in delivering automation for native applications using Espresso, XCUI, Appium and other test automation tools for iOS and Android.
  • Some experience working with DevOps tools like Chef, Ansible, Jenkins and practices like continuous integration and delivery pipelines.
  • BS and/or MS in Computer Science or a related field.

Your primary responsibilities would be:

  • You set up and maintain test automation and execution framework.
  • You implement automated software tests, identify and solve problems at the component or feature level, and participate in multiple functional areas.
  • You become proficient with test automation tools used by the group.
  • You adhere to aggressive release schedules, execute test cases, report results, and collects metrics on testing.
  • You are involved from product inception, proactively look for potential quality issues, contribute to Technical Reviews and Root Cause Analysis sessions.
  • You actively participate in group technology reviews to critique work of self and others.
  • You resolve problems and roadblocks as they occur with help from peers or managers. You follow through on details and drives issues to closure with help from peers or managers.
