Technical Product Manager I

The Lodging Pricing team at Expedia has a global presence where you will contribute to our ongoing dedication to foster a healthy, collaborative, and value-driven development environment. As a Technical Product Manager I, you deliver simple solutions. You will handle development schedules from design to release, making appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-market and clearly communicating goals. Responsibilities –

  • You will deliver technical products for cross functional projects involving engineering teams.
  • You will collaborate to understand and document business requirements and design technical solutions that create customer value.
  • You will communication and relationships with partners.
  • You will project management skills, including mitigation of risks to scope and schedule, status updates, management of trade-offs, and facilitation of planning and governance activities with team.
  • You will seek continuous improvements for project processes, including understanding team methodologies and how to more efficiently motivate teams and track progress.
  • You will promote and create a collaborative team environment.

Basic Qualifications –

  • At least 1 year of experience being a Technical Product Manager and 2+ years of experience in a technical domain
  • Able to communicate with engineers and team members.
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline, or equivalent professional experience

Preferred Qualifications –

  • You bring relevant experience reviewing and contributing to project plans, requirements specifications as well as understanding data analysis
  • Experience delivering production features with partner teams
  • Ability to collect and turn business requirements into user stories, epics and technical requirements and have discussions with business and technical teams
  • You have exposure to or experience with CI/CD framework and related tools, cloud computing, traffic management and analysis, project management tools, web technologies and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture)
  • You have experience collaborating with Developers, Technical Product Managers, UX Designers, Product Managers and other stakeholders.
