Sr. Program Manager, Finance Operations

United States - Washington - Bellevue

Are you energized by the idea of planning and driving the delivery of a bold new future? Do you love solving a good puzzle within ambitious timelines, and do you firmly believe that there’s no challenge too big with you leading the charge? If you answered yes, this job is for you.

Egencia, Expedia Group business travel, is one of the top Travel Management Companies (TMCs) in the world. We provide innovative business travel solutions and local customer service in 65 countries. A great place for extraordinary people who share our real passion for tech and travel to do their best work.

We are seeking a skilled Program Manager to drive the coordination and delivery of Egencia’s accounting and financial operations program transformation. You will collaborate closely with key partners across the various Expedia Group Finance and non-Finance disciplines to effectively drive the individual projects within the program. This is an emerging role reporting to the Senior Director of the Financial Operations Program.

What you will do

  • Bring cohesiveness, transparency, organization and accountability to projects (under the program umbrella) involving multiple teams and departments across the Expedia Group.
  • Drive consistent execution. Serve as the primary liaison between Egencia Finance and the various technical and non-technical owners.
  • Identify program risks, issues and complex interdependencies; propose creative solutions to impediments to keep projects and work streams on track.
  • Provide direction and thought leadership to project teams, work stream owners and cross functional stakeholders.
  • Provide clear, concise and consistent program updates to broader cross functional teams per the established cadence, and as needed.
  • Plan, track and manage costs, schedule and scope on projects.

Who you are

  • Success depends upon your rare blend of a solution focused mindset, project management capability and aptitude for top-down thinking.
  • You think deeply about the business, your stakeholders and the desired outcome you are trying to accomplish. You are curious: you ask questions and resourcefully find answers. You challenge assumptions in order to drive optimal solutions.
  • You are an effective communicator and strike the balance of frequency, format and depth for your various audiences. You are able to successfully influence and steer proceedings, give concise directions as well as engage and motivate teams representing multiple viewpoints to achieve alignment and remain on track.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity; adept at breaking down large initiatives into digestible pieces and gaining commitment from your teammates. You have the ability to operate at a very detailed level, yet able to rapidly hone in on what truly matters. Your approach to decision-making is profound and rigorous: you understand the issues, the opportunities, decision rights, accountability and trade-offs. You possess a strong bias for action and results.
  • You thrive in an environment where the pace is always swift and where there are several priorities and multiple stakeholder interests to handle. Consequently, your portfolio of accomplishments demonstrates impeccable planning, prioritization and organization skills.

What you bring

  • 10+ years Program/Project Management for high visible projects and a keen understanding of the PMI lifecycle
  • Experience successfully serving as a project or program manager on multiple complex initiatives e.g. transformation program, financial systems implementation and/or integration or product line launch
  • Consistent record of delivering results to meet bold business requirements and project timelines
  • Proven success at influencing in heavily matrixed organizations
  • Experience working in a finance discipline and knowledge of travel industry operations strongly desired
