We are currently looking for an SEM Specialist to join our eMarketing team. This position will report to the Senior Manager - Online Marketing and will be a key contributor in managing and optimizing our SEM acquisition marketing programs in Google AdWords, Bing/YSM for multiple Expedia brands across the world.

On the SEM team, you will work in an entrepreneurial environment with responsibility for part of the channel P&L. You will utilise your quantitative and qualitative skills to provide actionable insights for optimising marketing spend, audience targeting and influencing customer behaviour. We are highly data-driven in our optimization approaches. We build internal predictive keyword valuation models, multi-touch attribution and re-targeting models, A/B frameworks for ad and landing page optimization testing.  This position can be based in either London or Geneva.

What you’ll do:

  • Have ownership of your accounts portfolio and be responsible for defining strategy and delivering result
  • Improve and develop the internal tools and systems that assist in driving optimization and growth (functions of the internal systems include; bid management and optimization, tracking, reporting, Keyword generation, Creative and Landing Page Optimization, etc.)
  • Collaborate with internal teams to identify campaign trends and growth opportunities, testing hypotheses and scaling winning tests to improve SEM traffic productivity and increase return on investment
  • Scripting prototypes to self-serve data transformation and working closely with development teams on optimisations and automation improvements
  • Identify, analyse, enhance and implement operating process that will create efficiencies for the online marketing teams

Who you are:

You’ll fit this role if you have:

  • Sound experience with managing paid search and other CPC driven marketplaces
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel expertise
  • Experience managing and developing complex large-scale advertising / marketing platforms
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and find scalable solutions to challenging problems
  • Experience 3rd party online marketing platforms such as Marin, Kenshoo, DS
  • Exceptional analytical skills, built up in a large-scale and data rich environment
