Database Marketing Specialist (6-month contract)

We’re currently on the hunt for a Database Marketing Specialist to join our ecommerce team for the Wotif & brands, on a 6-month contract with a possibility of extension. 

What you'll do 

  • Management of the campaign calendar, campaign build and deployment of Merchandise emails
  • E2E approvals for Merchandise emails
  • Reporting weekly and finding opportunities for improvement
  • Be data-driven and analytical; a problem solver
  • Conduct Test & Learn executions across various campaign types to drive incremental growth to performance
  • Collaboration and team work will be key, ensuring team goals are met according to our strategy for the year and insights are shared
  • Working with the team to segment and optimise our audiences for better performance
  • Execute Media Solutions campaigns to the database on behalf of external partners
  • Have a technical understanding of database architecture and be able to navigate and operate in a technical environment
  • Use your strong written and oral communication skills (including presentation skills) to articulate ideas clearly and appropriately influence business stakeholders

Who you are

You'd be an excellent fit for role if you have/ are able to: 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree.
  • At least 3 years of email marketing experience (CRM/direct mail/lifecycle)
  • Strong understanding of factors influencing email campaign performance (deliverability, engagement, churn, conversion)
  • Proven understanding of core marketing practices and principles
  • Strong technical understanding of ESP systems, BI tools
  • SQL knowledge is highly desirable
  • Interest in AI and machine learning, as well as design skills would be advantageous, but not required
