Sr. Vendor Manager IT
Expedia’s Enablement Solutions (ES) are responsible for coordinating with Expedia’s entire portfolio of lodging supply partners to ensure partner satisfaction for travel purchased through multiple Expedia brands across the US, Canada, America and Asia. The team manages operations for a global supply portfolio that is available for booking through various points of sale, including the websites of Expedia, Inc. and its affiliates. The ES organisation has over 1,500 employees based around the world. Key ES functions include contract loading, settlement/reconciliation, content management (written, media, ratings), geography, technical support, pre-travel support (e.g., schedule changes, relocation), training and localisation. As the front-line support organisation to Expedia supply partners, ES provides a key role in supplier satisfaction and has a close partnership with Expedia account managers/market managers.
Define the vendor strategy in support of the business objectives and the company's growth plan. Manage existing external supplier pool, specifically related to Software, Support Tools, AI and Technology services.
What you'll do
•Serve as Subject Matter Expert for services provided by vendors for the Enablement Solutions organisation, including contracts, business requirements and various Points of Sale.
•Manage delivery of global services and execution of complex global agreements, including, SOW’s, defined SLAs, KPIs, and other deliverable.
•Collaborate with the business owners, global procurement team, and legal teams to ensure new services are articulated and supported by vendor agreement.
•Lead or participate to RFP/RFI processes for new vendor selection.
•Drive a culture of continuous improvement, including root cause analysis and corrective action.
•Investigate, research and promote automation and efficiency through technology and innovative solutions
•Ensure contracted rates are delivered.
•Employ effective communication, including regular operational meetings and reporting as well as coordinating global QBRs to drive ongoing stakeholder engagement and results.
•Serve as escalation point for internal and external vendor related issues and collaborate with business owners, Legal, and Procurement teams to ensure successful resolution and service delivery.
•Provide consultancy on trends for new and/or emerging markets.
•Support production teams on resource allocation and planning.
•Drive savings and benefits through organisation across various ES activities.
•Responsible for complex negotiations across several business units.
•Develop vendor policies and procedures to maximise performance and service quality.
•Manage prioritisation for multiple projects across various regions and points of sale, to maximise benefit to Expedia.
Who you are
•3-5 years’ experience directly managing vendor relationships including SASS and other outsourced service providers.
•Direct experience managing RFP and vendor selection processes required.
•Previous experience with contact center/call center suppliers.
•Experience with POS systems and related support models strongly preferred.
•Ability to collect, manipulate and use data to drive decisions and strategies.
•Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field.
