The goal of the Pricing Services Team is to drive bookings by providing accurate rate quotes from search, to quote, to booking. We process rates from various supplier types, from massive property management companies, all the way down to small mom and pop innkeepers. And as you know, when handling more than one billion service requests per hour, speed and scalability are key.

Incorporating occupancy taxes into the rate quotes and collecting them is also important as it not only makes a more seamless flow for the traveler, suppliers have one less check to write at the end of the month. Join us and help drive these goals to success in 2019.

Challenges You Can Work On:

As a highly competent engineer, you will develop fast, scalable, highly available and reliable micro-services that will process thousands of requests per second. Having access to real-time data, you will understand customers’ needs before they do. Additionally, you will be developing features and APIs that will drive our business through real-time feedback loops in the cloud. Other responsibilities will include ownership of continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) while utilizing Agile methodologies. As part of our continuous learning culture, you will have the opportunity to participate in exciting global company hackathons and various career building courses with co-workers of all levels of expertise.

  • Being part of an influential team to solve complex data driven optimization techniques for 3.5 billion visitors a year

Day-to-Day responsibilities include:

  • Commit to ruthlessly rewriting, refactoring, and perfecting code
  • Deliver tested and optimized high performance code for a distributed micro services environment
  • Develop quality scalable, tested and reliable applications using industry best practices
  • Participate in resolution of production issues and lead efforts toward solutions
  • Showcase your work on our tech blog and internal & external conferences

Who You Are:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of professional software development experience (Java preferred)
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to work well cross-functionally across multiple department
  • An analytical problem solver that is passionate about delivering a high-quality user experience
