These conversational experiences drive customer journeys across the customer care platform supporting multiple EG brands, lines of business and external EG partners across the globe.

As a part of GCO Tech, you will be responsible for building and managing a capable world-class team which can deliver on the vision for the Customer Care Platform.


  • Strong technical management background
  • Bachelor degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required. MS or other related advanced degree preferred
  • 12+ years of experience in software development
  • 4+ years in leading engineering teams with growing responsibility
  • Experience developing and delivering highly engaging responsive front-end solutions using Agile methodologies
  • Extensive hands-on experience with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Typescript, node.js, React/Redux or Angular
  • Deep understanding of modern web architecture using Javascript based technologies, web components focusing on performance under varied device and network conditions.
  • Full stack experience using java, queuing, caching frameworks and no sql document store
  • Demonstrated experience manage effectively through organizational growth and change.
  • Solid understanding of software engineering principles and development practices with demonstrable projects driving code quality, innovation and adhering to security guidelines.
  • Capability to quickly grasp business context & execute with strategic and tactical approaches.
  • Strong communication skills as well as the ability to influence cross function teams and key decision makers
  • Strong leadership, negotiation and execution skills with the ability to drive results, deliver and excel.
  • Ability to navigate a rapidly changing landscape, while handling multiple responsibilities
  • Well versed in Agile development methodology, Clean Code practices and Design Patterns
  • Hands-on experience with Development in AWS or other Cloud environments is required
  • Curious about new technology and always looking to acquire new knowledge
  • Strong written and spoken communication
  • Strong Business sense is desired


  • Deliver business results to delight our customer
  • Work closely with key partners in executing the product vision for multiple work streams. This includes Product Management, internal/external engineering teams, and other internal functional teams.
  • Ensure the team’s success through translation of Business Requirements into Project Specification. Working with technical staff on Project Design/Development, with end-to-end oversight of on time delivery with high quality.
  • Lead ~25 Engineers/Technologists in engineering execution
  • Be responsible for the growth of the Engineering team – including individuals’ career growth, skillset development, and hiring the right resources
  • Nurture the team of developers by motivating and mentoring, influencing large cross functional teams
  • Foster a culture of innovation, creativity and growth
  • Provide architectural and design input, with ability to dive deep into technical details as required.
  • Drive Engineering excellence with a lens on Continuous Improvement, SRE (Site Reliability Engineering), Agile process excellence, and deployment of newest technology as appropriate.
