Are you interested in working with one of Expedia Group’s end-to-end business units? We’re looking for an attorney to join our team and support CarRentals.com. In this role you will have primary responsibility for drafting travel supply agreements and a broad range of other commercial transactions. You will also be responsible for advising business clients regarding contract interpretation, product development, regulatory issues and new business initiatives.

What you’ll do

  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating travel supply agreements and a wide range of other business agreements, including online advertising agreements, affiliation agreements and technology service provider agreements, both domestically and internationally.
  • Providing general legal counsel on a variety of contract and commercial issues, which may include website display, advertising and marketing, customer operations and regulatory compliance.
  • Working with outside legal counsel.
  • Working with internal business partners on proactive education.
  • Developing legal processes to provide business value.

Who you are

  • J.D. degree and membership in good standing in at least one state bar.
  • 5-7 years' experience with a top regional or national law firm or experience working in a fast-paced, in-house legal environment with a minimum of 4 years' experience.
  • Working on complex commercial transactions, a strong background in ecommerce (e.g., Internet privacy, advertising law, consumer protection and other regulatory issues).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, social skills and initiative.
  • Ability to work on an array of complex matters with minimal supervision, often in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Proven record of establishing strong working relationships with business clients at all levels and within the legal department or law firm.
  • International experience is a plus.
