Senior Manager, Finance - Brand Expedia

We are looking for a technically strong experienced Senior Finance Manager to lead the team providing FP&A support to the Package (PKG) and Multi-item Trip (MiT) team within CMC, reporting to a Finance Director of Global Lodging and Package.

Our business partners are responsible for trading performance of Package / Multi-item Trip globally which includes monitoring our site health, channel metrics, Net Promoter Score and price competitiveness. They partner closely with product, strategy and Lodging Partner Services on forward-looking initiatives to grow our business.

What you’ll do:

  • Constantly drive for improved visibility into, and increased profitability of, Brand Expedia’s PKG and MiT performance via insightful financial management
  • Deliver high-quality quarterly Forecasts and annual Financial Plan
  • Partner with the Retail Leadership Team to build short, medium and long-term financial forecasts
  • Build and maintain the planning models and analytical tools necessary to forecast measure and maximize profitability
  • Lead preparation and presentation of documents for weekly trading meetings, identifying emerging trends and recommend actions needed to run the business
  • Identify key business drivers and track performance against these measures. Challenge status quo and update reports to show insightful, relevant and actionable data
  • Analyze and improve pricing decisions to increase volume while maintaining or improving bottom line profit
  • Collaborate with Brand Expedia Finance counterparts and cross-functional teams to understand and investigate unusual business trends and find opportunities for process improvements and/or savings to optimize profitability
  • Analyze current business trends and deep-dive into the numbers as needed to explain the story behind the trends
  • Lead and manage one Senior Financial Analyst

Your skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in finance, business, economics, or a relevant quantitative field is required
  • Certified accounting qualification; ACA, ACCA, CIMA or MBA is preferred
  • Financial skills including budgeting, reporting and business case modelling
  • A real passion for using data to drive better decision-making and add business value
  • An ability to interpret and present data in a visually compelling format to financial and non-financial audiences
  • Excellent commercial acumen and ability to translate business initiatives into financial impacts
  • A result driven approach combined with a balance between detail orientation and grasping the big picture
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to influence business partners at all levels of the organization
  • Clear, compelling and concise presentation skills
  • People management and mentoring experience preferred
  • Experience using Hyperion/SmartView (Business Objects experience a plus)
