Data Product Analyst, Programmatic Marketing

What you’ll do

With scores of sell and buy-side data at our disposal, the successful marketer is one that can harness the power of consumer and media data and leverage them at scale to deliver the right message to the right person at the right time. Programmatic advertising is a dynamic and ever-growing space, penetrating over 85% of digital ad spending across the entire purchasing funnel by 2020. Your job as a critical member of our in-house Programmatic team is to capture and leverage audience data, combine it with other information we might have about the auction/media marketplace and transform it into actionable insights and tools to maximize impact of our digital marketing.

To do this, you will:

  • Help the team deliver our P&L targets whilst meeting our ROI expectations
  • Help understand marketing campaign performance and results
  • Work with the team to devise, implement and test new tactics and strategies
  • Come up with ideas for new sources of insight and help integrate new datasets
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to design and build business intelligence dashboards
  • Build rapid prototypes to enable quick feedback through our A:B test framework
  • Help design, build, maintain and operate the data pipeline that runs our bidding/targeting platform

You will report to Hotels.com's Sr. Director of Global Media and Programmatic, working closely with the business relationship owners and their teams.

Your background:

Required:

  • Degree with strong analytical focus (Business Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics etc)
  • Fluent in python, moderate to advanced in SQL
  • You can talk about a business oriented Python project that you designed and built yourself
  • Great problem solving and analytical skills combined with the ability to explain concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to prioritize, communicate and deliver in the face of complex projects and time-sensitive deliverables
