The Team & Position:

The Online Partner Marketing Team at Hotwire handles and optimizes a range of partners through Metasearch, including partners like Google and Kayak, display partners like Criteo, as well as partnerships built though purchasing ads from our own Expedia brands. Our team is responsible for the second largest spending across Hotwire Marketing and generates a large share of new customers who fuel the business.

You are a curious and technically skilled Senior Marketing Manager who likes to dig into the data and MS Excel as much as working with APIs and ad servers.

Aside from an awesome job on, this person has a lot of potential to grow in their role, to influence our strategy and to deliver our exciting 2019 growth projects. For example, we are currently partnering with the Data Science team to build our own in-house bidding tool and optimize pricing and with the product teams to increase our inventory.

You will be responsible for some of our key partner relationships, growing them at the right ROAS, making sure our investments are incremental and fitting to our strategy. You optimize our bidding model, work on integration and creative, as well as negotiating for new placements.

Working with partners & the team we expect:

  • You plan and execute optimizations.
  • You negotiate contracts and placements.
  • You report on daily, weekly & monthly results. You own the performance.
  • Analyze the drivers of key trends and new insights.
  • You work with our product and tech teams to improve technical integration benefitting our external partners.
  • You engage with finance to build and report against forecast.
  • You work with data science to implement and improve our bidding.
  • You collaborate with marketing operations to ensure proper tracking and tagging to support the partnership.
  • You are responsible for the channel strategy and business development and finding new methods to grow the channels.
  • You lead cross channel initiatives within OPM and marketing when there is an opportunity.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • You have at least 5-7 years of experience in online marketing channels, specifically Metasearch, SEM, and display.
  • At least 2+ years in Metasearch, comparison site or product listing management is required.
  • You have experience in balancing transaction growth versus meeting ROAS/ROI targets in your channels.
  • Your days are all about bidding and test & learn.
  • You are very familiar with all things tracking, attribution and incremental.
  • You have built forecasts and reported against those.
  • You are comfortable in SQL and retrieving your own data if needed, in addition to mastering MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • You have conducted projects across departments, including collaborations with product, tech and data science.
  • You have strong communication skills and are able to present to senior leadership, as well as the ability to build relationships with internal and external partners.
