Senior Manager, Sales Operations and Strategy

Ready to help shape the foundation for a high-performing, global sales team? Are you strong operationally, collaborative in nature, both strategic and tactical, and have experience working in a fast-paced B2B organization? 

Expedia Partner Solutions’ global sales operations team is looking for a Senior Manager, Sales Operations and Strategy who applies a strategic lens to drive the effectiveness and efficiency of our sales teams.

What you’ll do

Maintain and support the understanding and evolution of the sales framework by working with our central strategy team, sales, sales excellence and other supporting functions. The sales framework defines the EPS solutions that are approved for Sales and you’ll provide guidance on the go to market strategy for the various solutions  

Support the evolution of our sales operating model around our business strategy to help achieve sustainable growth

Responsible for ‘the how’ component of the sales Blueprint which includes:

  • Aligning our sales organizational structure to our sales framework working closely with Sales leaders to ensure it reflects the needs of the organization and puts our partners at the center of our decision making
  • Partnering closely with HR to define role clarity for sales and ensuring the competency framework drives sales excellence
  • Driving adoption and compliance of the concepts defined in Blueprint and the sales framework
  • Establishing and using key metrics to measure effectiveness and areas for improvement of the ‘how’ side of Blueprint
  • Implementing a regular and ongoing cadence of updating the blueprint, documentation and communications based on business changes, insights, and feedback to ensure the blueprint remains relevant in our fast-growing business

Define and own the partner segmentation and account coverage model by:

  • Reviewing existing design and improving and/or aligning to our sales framework and organizational structure
  • Execute regular review of partner thresholds and account potential and establish method to update Salesforce.com data
  • Identify opportunities to leverage and further embed partner segmentation across the organization when servicing and supporting partners
  • Specifically, for the lowest tier of unmanaged accounts, work with the Sales Operations and Process Manager to define the relevant processes

Support the Director of Sales Operations on key Sales projects through program management, strategy, and/or business ownership

Analyse data and use stakeholder feedback to uncover key insights and then work with stakeholders to use this information to optimize sales operations

Support ad-hoc initiatives as required

Who you are

You’ll fit this role if you have:

  • Prior experience in sales operations, sales strategy, or sales roles in a B2B organization and/or travel industry
  • Reimagine operations with a strategic lens based on internal and external trends
  • Ability to think like a sales person and support strategic changes in our constantly evolving business environment
  • Strong ability to simplify data, trends, and concepts and effectively communicate these to both senior leaders and primary stakeholders  
  • Drive to develop high-standard goals, ideas, and initiatives and derive satisfaction from executing against them
  • Ability to influence and build consensus among internal teams 
  • Highly collaborative spirit and ability to build rapport quickly
  • Desire to both see and execute on the bigger picture and get into the detail of required activities 
  • Experience working in a large matrix organization with a fast pace of work
  • Ability to manage complexity and competing priorities
  • High energy and results focused (short-term and long-term vision)
  • Experience using Salesforce.com a plus
