Marketing Platform Product Manager at Vrbo, a part of Expedia Group;.
We are looking for a highly analytical and passionate Product Manager to lead the optimisation and scaling of Vrbo's Marketing technology.
As Product Owner, you'll use qualitative industry and user insights alongside our quantitative analytics systems to influence the product strategy and roadmap, produce specifications that evolve the marketing platform’s feature set, develop, test, and iterate new features, evaluate third-party technologies, and work closely with Growth Marketing, Data Science, external partners and Engineering to ensure quality deliverables on-time.
Because Vacation Rental is a disruptive play in the Online Travel space, and Google’s search index shows it to be one of the fastest growing categories, we look for product leaders who get stuff done. Vrbo is creating a marketplace that brings value to both Travelers and Home Owners; by using data science to build programmatic marketing products, your work here will directly and measurably impact our operational scale and revenue.
Your responsibility spans across Vrbo's global portfolio of brands and all phases of product initiatives. You have a proven product development mindset and focus on actionable analytics, be able to grasp concepts quickly, formulate product ideas, and influence business and technical partners in verbal and written forms.
What you’ll do:
•You will work with the team in establishing the product vision, goals, roadmap, A/B testing strategy and global rollout plans for Marketing technology.
•You will work closely with engineering and Marketing partners to specify feature details, create user stories, drive Agile delivery and UAT.
•You will provide data driven recommendations across multiple concurrent assessments; design and implement product testing strategy around these recommendations.
•You will handle trade-offs between cost, schedule, and business benefit, and ensure successful delivery of features in production that meet customer needs.
•You will dedicatedly engage with multiple departments across the organisation to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities.
•You will build & maintain up-to-date industry knowledge of marketing technologies
•You will automate as much as possible, and develop scalable processes in a high volume environment.
•You will understand Vrbo's evolving strategic and competitive position and deliver products that are recognized best in the industry
Who you are:
•Bachelor's degree in computer science or an equivalent, MBA or Master's Degree preferred.
•Confirmed experience in data-driven product optimization: you are able to interpret data and trends, diagnose problems, and formulate action plans to support decisions.
•You have an initial and confirmed related experience leading e-commerce technology products, including confirmed knowledge of software development methodologies, understanding of typical technology architecture for high volume websites, gathering business requirements and turning them into detailed functional design specifications.
•You have passion for data, technology, and innovations in the field of Machine Learning.
•You have a strong of competency with project management, including issues and risk identification and management, tracking; demonstrated strong attention to detail
•You have excellent communication skills (written and verbal); confirmed ability to work with cross-functional teams to drive execution against project landmarks and deliverables.
•You are a self-starter who demonstrates initiative and tenacity while working independently. You will flourish with challenges and not be deterred by difficult situations. You will work actively rather than reactively.
•You are comfortable with and adaptable to change. We work in an innovative fast growth environment where products and processes evolve rapidly.
