Vice President, Product & Technology Multi-Item Trip (MIT)

The position requires working closely with stakeholders across various lines of business and all brands within Expedia Group to build new and improve the multi-item trip product and experience.  As a result, you will need to be a practiced negotiator and a creative problem solver capable of building consensus across a large global organization.  

You will drive and ensure that the teams’ priorities ladder up to the broader Expedia Group strategy.

You will coordinate efforts across Expedia Group to build products that provide differentiated value to both customers and suppliers.

Your team will be responsible for building and delivering roadmap for Multi-Item Trip team, which includes Packages, Shopping Cart and Attach products.

What you’ll do:

  • Continue to grow the package business by driving the conversation and manage the team through the development of the cart
  • At a high level, be responsible for the reinvention of how travel is shopped for in the cart
  • Lead product and technology teams that account for/pushes 40% of Brand Expedia revenue
  • Develop and lead a team of experienced product and technology managers
  • Lead cross-functional teams to conceive and develop new product concepts, establish development milestones, and manage the development, implementation and subsequent rollout
  • Embody a platform mindset to build experiences that offer both our customers and partners unique and differentiated value in the travel marketplace
  • Accountable for balancing short and long-term tradeoffs to maximize return on investment
  • Provide leadership to a global product and technology team, establishing objectives and priorities and ensuring delivery against those milestones
  • Balance requirements and consumer experience to build best-in-class eCommerce travel products
  • Manage multiple projects and details without losing site of the ‘big picture’
  • Be self-directed and able to move forward in a fast-paced, somewhat ambiguous environment
  • Creative thinker with exceptional business, strategic, analytical, management and relationship skills
  • Provide leadership for product and technology teams at the Expedia Group level and work across the organization to help build an open and collaborative culture that enables teams to do their best work

Who you are:

  • 15+ years of relevant work experience in product development or technology
  • Must be well versed and be experienced within consumer technology and/or eCommerce companies
  • Proven excellence as leader capable of driving high-impact initiatives that deliver meaningful business results specifically leading diverse functional and geographically dispersed product and technology teams
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a strong bias for action
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of interacting across all levels of the organization
  • Degreed education, Masters preferred
