What is Expedia Travel Agent Affiliate Program (TAAP)?

Expedia Travel Agent Affiliate Program is a powerful, ready-built, web-based booking engine that combines accommodations, flights, packages, activities and car rental. It is one of EPS’s core products designed specifically for agents. It boosts agents' efficiency with an easy-to-use booking engine, with powerful search-and-filter functionality to give agents and their travellers the most relevant options, the first time.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the strategic TAAP partnerships like your own businesses:
  • Develop and execute growth strategies to increase share of wallet
  • Track and monitor performance metrics and data
  • Collaborate with internal functions on standard methodology sharing
  • Drive analyses to identify areas of risk and opportunity
  • Assist in creation of marketing strategies to increase sales
  • Advise on optimization opportunities
  • Support customer issue resolution
  • Develop strong relationships to improve retention
  • Retain, negotiate and extend new and existing contracts
  • Conduct regular face-to-face visits and ongoing calls
  • Organize activity based on high to low value
  • Focus on strategic account management and performance management by building C-level strategic relationships and acting as a trusted advisor to TAAP accounts at HQ-level
  • Identify API transition potential TAAP accounts and gauge initial feasibility, requirements and interest of potential opportunity with partner
  • For selected accounts you will perform additional API transition activities
  • Work closely with Business Development Manager in the region to ensure smooth handover and/or transition
  • Lead the entirety of the relationship with the partner, including working cross functionally across their organization with commercial, product, customer service, technology, marketing, finance and accounting teams.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the North American retail travel market while keeping up to date on global trends that affect the industry and organization
  • Grasp the “big” picture for EPS, our TAAP business and the partner, mapping specific plans to address the overall strategy and direction of both parties.

Who you are

You’ll fit this role if you have:

  • Retail travel or B2B technology background preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Consistent and strong performance history in successfully leading key accounts and driving revenue growth
  • Self-starter mentality, intrinsically motivated and comfortable blazing a completely new path and defining innovative solutions
  • Experience and interest in working collaboratively with global teams
  • Adaptability to a rapidly changing environment
  • Solution based approach to sales with a good understanding of technology
  • Confirmed history of success in influencing multiple partners to get things done.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, must be able to use data to identify underlying trends and make informed commercial decisions
  • Laser focus on execution, displaying superior discipline, attention to detail, organization, time management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), ability to adjust communication style to effectively connect with c-suite executives to individual travel agents
  • Team-player mindset, able to build unquestioning relationships and deliver projects on time
  • Excellent judgment through sound, well-informed decision-making
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft office products including PowerPoint and Excel – additional plus for experience with reporting tools (e.g., Tableau), CRM systems and API integrations and inner-workings
  • Lastly, a clear passion for the business of travel
