Corporate Counsel - Commercial Transactions

Are you an attorney that is passionate about travel and how it can bring people together? Expedia is looking for an experienced attorney to support Expedia’s lodging supply team in EMEA. This position will have responsibility for handling a variety of commercial transactions with lodging suppliers and providing legal advice to business clients.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborating with legal colleagues and stakeholders in product, business, and other teams within Expedia Group to develop and implement legal strategy and processes related to hotel supply inventory
  • Advising business clients regarding contract interpretation, product development, regulatory matters, and new business initiatives
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining contract templates and other legal processes to drive value and efficiency
  • Serve as main legal point of contact for hotel supply matters in EMEA
  • Answer inquiries directed to team email alias from internal personnel supporting the hotel supply functions in EMEA
  • Managing outside counsel and budgets for legal services

Who you are:

  • Self-starter willing to dive into a range of complex legal matters with minimal supervision
  • Confirmed ability to establish working relationships with internal/external business clients and within the legal department.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and work ethic
  • Experience with complex commercial transactions and a background in regulatory, consumer protection privacy, and intellectual property matters.
  • Solid background in a top law firm or experience working in a dynamic, in-house legal environment
  • International experience and in-house experience are a plus
  • J.D. degree or equivalent with membership in the UK bar, or the equivalent
