About the opportunity

Are you passionate about travel and data? Bringing these two together, this is an exciting opportunity to join our APAC Leadership team as a Digital Marketing (SEM) Manager reporting to the Senior Manager, EU & APAC SEM. You will work in partnership with other Growth Marketing channel & regional experts with a high degree of autonomy to maximise portfolio of all Vrbo domains throughout APAC and implement strategic initiatives. You will also lead and coach your team (1 direct report) to become a subject matter expert.

What you will do:

  • Accountability for the APAC SEM program market by market, ensuring that it exceeds targets of main critical metrics, both from a growth and efficiency perspective, and improves our long term growth potential across the region through effective budget allocation;
  • Drive locally relevant Search initiatives with a view to reaching and exceeding our traveller and supply acquisition targets both at the regional and destination levels;
  • Develop, lead and optimize destination-focused search campaigns across all APAC brands & markets, and liaise with local teams to identify new Search opportunities;
  • Work with the SEM platform teams to continuously improve our central platform and surface local and regional opportunities and standard methodologies;
  • Partner with Analytics & Marketing teams on forecasting, target setting and accurate measurement of SEM in the region;
  • Work as one team with Brand, Supply & Product to ensure consistency of messaging and user experience and ensure supply and demand initiatives are fully aligned;
  • Manage Growth Marketing analysts in coordination with other channels leaders and contribute to their development and career progress.

Who you are:

  • 4 + years of relevant experience, in an analytical role or managerial role;
  • Analytical and numerical aptitude: ability to analyse large sets of data and objectively derive revenue driving opportunities;
  • Critical thinking aptitude: identifying trends/patterns, synthesize varying information sources, challenge assumptions and creative problem-solving;
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate performance metrics, challenges and opportunities to key partners;
  • Experience managing channel / portfolio performance desirable;
  • A collaborative approach and ability to interact with teams including engineering, analytics, product & marketing;
  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree level qualifications, preferably in a scientific or numerical field.
