The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Vrbo for a Manager, EMEA SEM. This is a regional leadership role, reporting to the Sr Manager, EU & APAC SEM. Working in partnership with other Growth Marketing channel & regional experts, you will be required to work with a high degree of autonomy, partner with regional marketing and finance teams to maximise portfolio of all Vrbo domains throughout Europe and implement strategic initiatives. The role will also lead and develop the EMEA based Growth Marketing analysts to become subject matter experts.

What You'll Do:

  • You will have accountability for the EMEA SEM program market by market, ensuring that it exceeds critical metrics, both from a growth and efficiency perspective, and maximizes our long term growth potential across the region through effective budget allocation.
  • You will drive locally relevant Search initiatives with a view to reaching and exceeding our traveller and supply acquisition targets both at the regional and destination levels.
  • Develop, run and optimize destination-focused search campaigns across all EMEA brands & markets, and liaise with local teams to identify new Search opportunities.
  • Work with the SEM platform teams to continuously improve our central platform and surface local and regional opportunities and standard methodologies.
  • Partner with Analytics & Marketing teams on forecasting, target setting and accurate measurement of SEM in the region.
  • Work together with Brand, Supply & Product to ensure consistency of messaging and user experience and ensure supply and demand initiatives are fully aligned.
  • Lead Growth Marketing analysts in coordination with other channels leaders and contribute to their development and career progress.
  • Depending on interests, skills and opportunities, become the global subject matter expert on specific areas of Growth Marketing.

Who You Are:

  • Analytical and numerical aptitude: you have the ability to analyse large sets of data and objectively derive revenue driving opportunities.
  • Critical thinking aptitude: identifying trends/patterns, synthesize varying information sources, challenge assumptions and creative problem-solving.
  • Strong communication skills and capable of articulating performance metrics, challenges and opportunities to key partners.
  • Experience managing channel / portfolio performance desirable.
  • A collaborative approach and ability to interact with cross-functional teams including engineering, marketing and product.
  • BA or BSc degree level qualifications in a scientific or numerical field.
  • Fluent English, other European languages are a plus.
