The Creative Department is an international, multi-disciplinary group of creatives with a deep curiosity about the world and an undeniable passion for travel. As part of the Global Brand team, we’re responsible for imagining, developing, and delivering high-caliber, multimedia marketing programs to engage and inform our travelers and property owners/managers. We’re the dreamers and doers behind our brand, global and regional marketing campaigns, always-on channels, and creative initiatives that include content development, automation and scalability. We seek the industry’s best storytellers, visual artists, and technical experts to grow and thrive with us as we tell the Vrbo brand story around the world.
Working within Vrbo’s internal creative agency, the ideal candidate should possess a broad understanding of all major disciplines of digital marketing with a specialization in social media design, social media strategies, content marketing and influencer marketing. They’re passionate about sparking connections between people and content and dedicated to building the best strategic frameworks for social media initiatives. They have the ability to transform business objectives, data and content strategy into design that performs across major platforms.
Creatively lead design efforts within The Creative Dept. for all social media platforms
Bring socially innovative and metric-driving ideas to the table
Use social media best practices to help develop and implement our social media strategy
Help oversee other social designers and social media content
Measure the success of design efforts using key data metrics
Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
Work with designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
Collaborate and communicate ideas well with Marketing department
Communicate with industry professionals and influencers via social media to create a strong network
Skills and Requirements
5+ years of experience as a lead Social Media designer or similar role
Social Media Strategist using social media for brand awareness, engagement and traffic
Excellent knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and Pinterest channels
Expert-level knowledge in Sketch, and proficient in Photoshop and Illustrator
Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics
Good understanding of social media KPIs
Familiarity with graphic design and social media publishing
Experience in a management role
Conceptual and critical thinker with problem-solving skills
Good time-management skills
Great interpersonal and communication skills
BS degree in Marketing or relevant field, or equivalent professional experience
Experience working within an Agile-based work structure
Experience in motion design and/or editing
