Vrbo is seeking an Art Director to join our Creative Dept. team to focus on video content creation efforts. This will be a hands-on role and you’ll be responsible for setting visual direction inline with our Vrbo brand, working in collaboration with other team members from our content and video development group. Along the way you’ll ensure creative vision and business expectations coalesce into success.
In this role you will bring an unwavering eye for detail and a strong ability to use the design process as a method for solving creative challenges. This includes creating content built to engage and perform across many channels.

What you bring:
You are hands on and can demonstrate a wide range of aesthetics in your work.
You are a storyteller at heart and can ideate concepts and in turn bring those ideas to life in the form of video content.
You can create video treatments including light storyboarding, style frames, mood boards, typographic treatments and other directional elements in order to translate your ideas.
You are comfortable writing your own treatments and adapting to solve creative challenges
You understand the importance of brand consistency and can find unique ways to bring a brand to life without sacrificing that consistency.
You are organized, an excellent communicator, and unafraid to ask challenging questions at any point in the process.
You care about the people sitting next to you and want to see everyone succeed.
A degree in Advertising, Design, Film or a related field.
Expert level knowledge of Sketch, Adobe CC, Affect Effects and other design and motion applications.
Experience in the phases of production including pre-production and post-production through delivery.
Knowledge of the latest film trends, equipment capabilities and direct production experience including participation in location productions.
Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, adapting quickly when requirements change.
Comfort and willingness to collaborate with writers, motion designers and editors to create content.
Create, design and animate (bonus points) ; you should be comfortable working in 2D and 3D design.
Experience with all types of video format file types including broadcast, paid media and social.
Solid presentation skills and comfortable with being client-facing
8+ years of Art Direction experience within an agency, production studio or in-house creative team.
