About the role

Are you fluent in German and a passionate, experienced Social Media Specialist who is innovative with a data-first mindset? If so, we want you to join our global team cultivating social media growth and engagement for the Vrbo online community within the EMEA region.

In this role you will have the exciting opportunity to own your market whilst collaborating with your peers on fly wheel opportunities, supporting each other with best practice and ideas, and be a part of a team of high performing specialists that value empowering innovation with data.
 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage day-to-day social media deliverables, including publishing/scheduling content, monitoring and labeling conversations and content performance tracking
  • Engage in conversations with customers on our EMEA social platforms, and proactively search for conversations on social networks to assist in traveler acquisition efforts
  • Work with Global Social Media Editorial manager and internal creative team to continuously develop new content ideas for testing, aligned with global best practices
  • Input content briefs and requirements for creative development, ensure output aligns with social media best practices
  • Ensure content for social media editorial calendar has been produced and delivered according to requirements
  • Create and/or source social media content as needed to supplement assets delivered by creative team
  • Leverage paid social media to promote content and acquire fans on various social networks
  • Assist the local marketing teams, in coordination with the global social media program, in maintaining a documented creative testing roadmap via JIRA
  • Support influencer program by coordinating campaign logistics for travel arrangements and ensuring required content deliverables are met
  • Regularly communicate with local marketing manager and global social media team, to provide social media guidance for the local market, identify trends and opportunities and support local campaigns
  • Support tracking/reporting against quarterly success metrics and goals, content performance and influencer campaigns for the social media team
     

Who you are:

  • Fluent in German and English (a requirement)
  • Strong experience working with digital content and has an up-to-date understanding of social media strategies, tactics, advertising trends and analytics;
  • Ability to handle multiple work streams, prioritize assignments and work as a team-player in a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to transform social media analytics data into clear, intelligent insights for marketing team;
  • Ability to quickly learn and master new tools and tasks as necessary;
  • Experience with a Social Media Management platform like Spredfast, Sprinklr or Hootsuite;
  • Experience working on influencer campaigns (desirable);
  • Extremely detail-oriented and highly organized;
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or related field;
  • Hands-on experience in analytics tools and network platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
