Content Specialist

Expedia Group's comet team is composed of distinctive brands (Travelocity, Orbitz, CheapTickets, ebookers, Wotif and LastMinute) honoring our position as the world’s leading travel platform, while encouraging creativity and innovation across all our brands. Our internal creative team is looking for a ridiculously hardworking, ambitious and nimble content producer/writer to help bring our North American brands to life on social media and across all customer touchpoints. In this role, you'll work with the in-house creative team to support content initiatives. You’ll produce thumb-stopping content for social; collaborate with our content and design teams to create gifs, memes and videos; and partner with internal partners to produce breakthrough creative for brand and PR initiatives. Above all, you’ll love the creative challenge of writing in different brand voices throughout the day and creating content that illustrates each brands’ unique position in the marketplace.

What you'll do:

  • Support the content team on a variety of projects, as well as the larger creative team, and work with internal stakeholders to bring campaigns to life
  • Contribute forward-thinking ideas in brainstorms and creative kick-offs
  • Develop social media content on the daily
  • Support brand integrations and partnerships with content that delivers results
  • Help source photos and videos for social media and our travel blogs
  • Keep your finger on the pulse of our what our competitors are doing and report back
  • Write marketing copy for email, landing pages, banners, anywhere and everywhere our customers are

Who you are:

  • 1-3 years of creative experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing, advertising or related field
  • Pristine written and verbal communication skills; proficient in AP style
  • Organized to a fault with exceptional follow-through; acute attention to detail
  • High level of initiative, strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude, inquisitive personality
  • Deadline oriented; strong ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects
  • Experience collaborating with other teams and key partners to accomplish goals
  • Confident idea generator and strategic thinker
  • Travel, lifestyle, digital marketing experience a plus
