We are looking for an outstanding individual to fill the Marketing Senior Analyst role and help us build a best-in-class attribution and allocation capability. You will help us build and refine the models and methodologies that we use to make decisions on which marketing channels, countries, and customers we spend our marketing budget on. You will provide insights to senior leadership that will directly impact the shape of our business and the way that Hotels.com works with our most important marketing partners such as Google.
You will be part of a larger team of analytics and data science colleagues who work on a variety of data problems across the Hotels.com and Expedia Group business, learning from each other and sharing the latest techniques in the analytics and data science world.

What you’ll do
You will build and optimise our attribution and marketing spend allocation models, to ensure that Hotels.com spends its marketing budget in the most profitable way
Provide insights from data to support decision-making in the Hotels.com Acquisition Marketing and Leadership teams
Own end-to-end responsibility of running analytics and data science projects – from forming hypotheses, to designing testing methodologies, executing analyses, building models and communicating results
Become a subject matter expert on our attribution and spend allocation models as well as our acquisition marketing channels and related data sources
Collaborate with other team members, marketing partners and analysts across Expedia Group’s sister brands to share knowledge and ideas
Who you are
You have a real passion for data, analytics, online marketing and travel
Strong SQL skills; experience of using R or Python (or similar) to structure, transform and visualize big data
You have an enthusiasm and desire to learn about state of the art analytics tools and techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex analytical solutions and their business value in a clear and compelling way to a diverse group of technical and non-technical audiences
Strong attention to detail, excellent organisation skills, and ability to work on multiple responsibilities concurrently, owning projects end to end
Experience in ecommerce / online marketing a plus; experience of travel industry a bonus
2+ years’ experience in a Data Scientist or Advanced Analytics role
Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Engineering or similar
Relevant Master’s degree a plus
