Finance Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager within our Expedia Partner Solutions brand. The EPS Controllership team empowers delivery of EPS organizational goals through financial intelligence and operational excellence. As part of the EPS Finance Controllership team, you will be responsible for liaising with internal and external stakeholder groups to support the rapid growth of the B2B business, proactively driving continuous improvement in execution. Additionally, you will serve as a trusted advisor, working closely with EPS Commercial, Product, Finance, and Technology teams as well as Corporate departments (Accounting, Tax, Treasury, Corporate Audit Services, Global Payments).

What you’ll do

  • Lead a team of two Senior Financial Analysts and one Financial Analyst.
  • Own the revenue share calculations and review settlement statements prepared by analysts for strategic EPS Partners
  • Review new contracts/amendments, provide feedback and insight to account managers and legal ensuring economic terms can be operationalized
  • Present complex financial concepts and technical details to non-financial business partners; effectively depict complex concepts in an easy to understand manner
  • Align with the Accounting team and Commercial Finance on the appropriate general ledger data to include in the revenue share calculations and the accrual process
  • Support the implementations of strategic EPS Partners by partnering with Business Solutions team to identify and analyze partner implementation risks
  • Lead the monthly accruals process within Accounting’s month end close timelines and SOX control requirements
  • Own the monthly process for payment and partner marketing fee reporting packages in accordance with partner contracts
  • Accountable for SOX documentation and procedures with internal and external auditors
  • Perform data analysis to evaluate existing business/operational processes; recommend/design/implement effective and scalable operational, SOX compliant processes and process enhancements
  • Establish strong working relationships with business partners across various teams
  • Mentor and train staff and provide timely reviews of work performance
  • Ad-hoc projects as required

Who you are

  • Established and consistent track record of building solid, successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience working in an international environment with cross functional teams across multiple time zones
  • Ability to successfully manage multiple tasks, delivering against competing priorities
  • Ability to coordinate activities across diverse internal and external teams
  • Ability to influence others utilizing excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team member
  • Receptive and adaptive to a rapidly changing business environment while maintaining focus on key business goals and objectives

You'll technically have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA designation preferred
  • 7+ years in finance and/or accounting operations with progressive growth in responsibilities, Public Accounting Experience is a plus
  • Innovative thinker with ability to recommend unique solutions to address complex problems
  • Professional “can do” work ethic, with the ability to handle many conflicting tasks
  • Established at building solid, successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience working with cross functional teams across domestic and international time zones
  • Receptive and adaptive to a rapidly changing business environment while maintaining focus on key business goals and objectives
  • Advanced Excel skills with experience of handling large and complex data sets
  • Experience building Excel models and reports using complex formulas
  • Strong verbal and written communications
  • Experience with the following systems strongly preferred: Oracle, SQL Teradata Business Objects
