Senior Finance Analyst

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Finance Analyst to join the EPS FP&A team. Your primary responsibilities include delivery of high-quality reporting, analysis and insight to business leaders on financial performance and preparation of quarterly forecasts decks. This will involve interacting with all levels of the organization. You will support the FP&A team with all planning, forecasting, closing and business analytics to drive the performance of the EPS business. As a member of the EPS FP&A team, you will play a key role in the continuous improvement of our financial processes and is expected to embrace contemporary digital finance capabilities (i.e. SQL/Tableau).

What you’ll do:

Management Reporting:

  • Trading performance - Ownership of the weekly trading stats; Identification/analysis of business/market trends affecting P&L performance/profitability
  • Monthly Management Pack - Produce monthly P&L performance reports; Identifying key business drivers working closely with Commercial Finance, Divisional Finance leads, Corporate Finance to get in depth analysis behind P&L drivers
  • Quarterly forecasts - Prepare Plan/Forecast summary presentations to Senior Management highlighting key business drivers
  • Regulatory reporting - Own and co-ordinate regulatory reporting activities for EPS; working closely with various finance and non-finance stakeholders (Divisional Finance leads, Legal)
  • Ad-hoc analysis - Delivering dedicated, accurate and timely ad-hoc analysis to answer queries from Senior Management and support the Head of FP&A

Digitization projects/Automation of internal processes:

  • Development of Tableau dashboards providing Bookings, Revenue & Margin KPIs to Senior Management team
  • Challenge / improve current processes ensuring agreement from various partners.
  • Support Expedia wide digitization initiatives and be an advocate for our data needs across the Expedia Group

Who you are:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • A BA/BSc 2:1 or above (or equivalent) from an accredited university
  • Experience of working in a large complex business - ideally in a similar FP&A role
  • Solid experience with analysis, forecasting, and management reporting
  • Detailed knowledge of Excel, Hyperion/Essbase, OBIEE & Business Objects
  • Some programming language experience – preferably SQL
  • Ability to manipulate datasets using SQL and generate actionable reports in Tableau
  • Analytical mindset with strong numerical skills, strong written and verbal interpersonal skills
