What you’ll do

As the Sr Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the success and commercial release of products in your portfolio. You will have a good understanding of partner needs to define market opportunities and drive adoption and retention.

  • Lead go-to-market strategy and execution for the product portfolio you are responsible and communicate that strategy across the organization
  • Define market opportunity for a product; perform segmentation and targeting exercises that identify segments with the highest propensity to buy
  • Build or provide insights for the creation and socialization of the following product-level documents: market requirements, marketing plan, sales enablement plan, launch plan, solution handbook
  • Conduct market and customer research to gather data and insight about partner needs and the purchasing decision process for the product
  • Build product positioning, value propositions and messaging that resonates with partners and messaging brief to transition to Marketing and Sales Enablement
  • Develop ambitious positioning for the product portfolio by using competitive analysis and input from product management managers; develop competitive comparison guide for use in positioning against like offerings from other organizations
  • Assist in product naming by providing market, competitive and customer context
  • Lead launch planning and orchestrate execution of the commercial release of the product portfolio
  • Serve as market-facing subject matter expert (SME) for the product portfolio at industry events or assist in preparing sales for thought leadership speaking events
  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement to produce sales content (e.g. playbooks, battle cards, scripts, presentations, training modules, demos)
  • Develop customer references, testimonials and case studies for external and internal use or assist partner marketing to do so
  • Drive adoption, retention, upsell and cross-sell for the product portfolio along with Product and Sales Enablement
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the product portfolio and results of related sales

Who you are

  • 3-5 years of product marketing experience in a B2B organization
  • Ability to conduct market, competitors and customer research to gather insights and assess market opportunities
  • Commercial mind set, critical to work alongside sales team and communicating results
  • Ability to conduct market, competitor and customer research to gather insights and assess market opportunities
  • Ability to build value propositions and messaging strategies
  • Ability to develop strategies for creating pipeline for new offerings as well as upsell, cross-sell and growth opportunities
  • Ability to analyze information collected from win/loss interviews and pipeline behavior to detect breakdowns in the marketing and sales process
  • Ability to navigate global organization across multiple functions
  • Critical thinker with strong writing, communication, presentation development and delivery skills
  • Executive presence and ability to influence cross-functional partners including senior leaders
  • Excellent copywriting skills and extraordinary verbal communication skills
  • Experience running workshops or partner events preferred
  • Creative and strategic thinker
  • Product or Project management experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
