The Lead BDM will independently build sales and business strategies within current frameworks as well as completely bespoke solutions. This role is also responsible for

  • Responsible for maintaining A level accounts, identifying new key strategic businesses globally
  • Develop campaigns that meet their needs across MeSo and the rest of Expedia Group
  • Develop and execute standard and highly complex custom contracts
  • Represent the benefits of partnering with Expedia as an advertising partner of choice
  • Directly accountable for independently owning market strategy and executing the successful negotiation, sale and renewal of online advertising campaigns for a significant portfolio of existing accounts and/or those with more strategic long-term business potential
  • These include deals that have never been done and require stakeholder management across Expedia Group
  • Create, define, and implement business cases to improve the global revenue potential for large, complex accounts on a local, regional or global basis
  • Brainstorm, build and execute strategy to grow Media Solutions business
  • Lead in all aspects of deal development - prospecting, sourcing, negotiating and closing
  • Create a pipeline of opportunities that are reviewed weekly/monthly/quarterly to ensure the pipeline is productive and yields partnerships
  • Engages in senior level customer meetings to discuss customer’s business issues and explores how Media Solutions product offerings can help address and resolve these issues
  • Be proactive in the research to establish new target markets & business streams. Undertake research to generate new business areas, client profiles and sales appointments/presentations
  • Build and manage fruitful collaborations with partners and provide clients with a consultative sales experience.
  • Effectively navigate client issues through to resolution independently and find ways to overcome those in the future
  • Own and lead the sales process to enhance existing partnerships through up-selling and cross-selling of product and services, and sales optimization; and build strong long-term strategic commercial relationships, formalized in enduring contractual agreements
  • Comfortable with significant levels of ambiguity on daily basis and able to drive these complex partnerships forwards
  • Will oversee global media strategy for Accounts / Vertical on a global basis for international accounts
  • Own and lead the advertising sales process end to end from identification of new prospects, to developing an understanding of client needs and mapping those needs with planning and strategic selling
  • Focus on yearly planning to include overarching year or multi-year strategies
  • Ability to work independently on complex deals that require more customization and ""out of the box" solutions
  • Ability to influence internal partners to prioritize new features and functionality necessary for advertisers
  • Accurately forecast complex future revenue potential through ongoing pipeline management in Salesforce
  • Working across internal functions to optimize Media opportunities; including working with our product teams to define new product offerings
  • Evangelize MeSo internally and align with internal supply teams to increase value of partner for EG
  • Forecast demand for proposed projects based on presented market research data and industry trends
  • Perform industry and competitive analysis to highlight underlying category trends and competitive dynamics
  • Develop financial models for strategic initiatives, potential business development and partnership opportunities
  • Define and deliver continued improvement in revenue contribution to Media Solutions leveraged through ongoing insightful measurement and ROI analysis of new partnerships
  • Deeply understands business operations and levers that drive profitable, sustainable growth
  • Will partner with internal business partners to lead and drive innovation, product development and initiatives for their Accounts / Verticals
  • Develop, mentor and coach associate(s) on the team. prioritize, set objectives and provide guidance and feedback
  • Support sales manager with day-to-day administrative and management tasks
  • Create and Develop new initiatives that can be shared with the wider sales team
