Sr Accountant II

Looking to join a dynamic team of accounting professionals that is working collaboratively to build global processes while supporting Expedia Group’s international operations in a unique and dynamic role?  The International Accounting team ensures Expedia Group, Inc.’s international operations are compliant with a variety of foreign non-financial regulatory reporting requirements.  Our ideal candidate has a strong drive to learn, take on complex challenges, and make solutions work.  This position is located at the Expedia Group worldwide headquarters new campus in Seattle, Washington.

What you’ll do:

  • Support Expedia Group’s international operations by designing and operationalize process to support timely and accurate non-financial regulatory reporting, including being the primary liaison with auditors for selected processed.
  • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams across geographies to understand Expedia Group’s travel offerings and reporting capabilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams across accounting, finance, legal, and technology to define requirements for a portfolio of non-financial regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Support additional regulatory reporting in a variety of jurisdictions.
  • Assist with special projects and other global reporting and compliance processes.
  • Prepare journal entries and ad hoc analysis and account reconciliations.


Who you are:

  • BA or BS in Finance or Accounting required
  • The candidate must have at least 3 years of experience; public accounting experience is preferred.
  • Ability to focus on both detail and overall objectives while working in a fast-paced, team oriented, rapidly changing, and high-growth organization.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of clearly articulating complex processes to audiences with differing levels of understanding.
  • Proficient in English, foreign language skills a plus.
  • Aptitude to establish and maintain a cross-functional network outside of our immediate team to ensure strong customer focus.
  • Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills including ability to act as primary owner of individual projects, analyses or processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (pivot tables, functions) as well as the ability to work with large amounts of data.
  • Experience working with a variety of reporting tools and systems
