Senior Manager Finance

As part of the Travel Partners Group (TPG) Finance & Controllership team the Senior Finance Manager will partner with TPG leaders and other FP&A functions to enable solid business decision making through financial insight, meaningful analysis, and reporting. This person will also work closely with various functions including, but not limited to Business development, Treasury, Transfer pricing, Controllership and Tax teams.

The right individual for this role is able to think strategically, tactically, and analytically. You will be responsible for, driving the dissemination of P&L thinking across the business to improve business acumen and enable better decisions to be made. You have the ability to influence leadership through effective communication, financial analysis, pragmatic solutions, and presentation of alternatives.

What you'll do

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Play a leadership role in modeling, forecasting, and understanding financial implications of new and existing Lodging initiatives.
  • Collaborate across TPG and wider Expedia Group teams to ensure standard, global and effective solutions for our partners and customers
  • Understand key business drivers, Financial impacts and provide management with accurate, timely, and relevant information for decision making (eg: investments, resources allocation, prioritization, etc…)
  • Ensure that post-implementation processes and controls are designed and executed in a sustainable and operationally efficient manner
  • Support local legal entity structure and provide accurate reporting & forecasting for Transfer pricing activities.
  • Provide ad-hoc analytical support and perform special projects as needed
  • Communicate up, down and sideways for project plans, milestones, and requirements

  • Proactive, independent thinker with demonstrated record of approaching management with original views on how to improve the business using data driven analysis
  • Proven ability to prioritize quickly and deliver results with a strong track record of managing deliverables from multiple parties to meet challenging deadlines
  • Exceptional data analysis skills at a detail level to provide insights, feedback, and perspective on operational and financial performance
  • Executive level oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate complex analyses in a simple manner
  • Detail oriented with ability to see the ‘big picture’ and understand key trends and levers
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and uncertainty in a business that evolves at a fast pace
  • Ability to create strong relationships, work with diverse teams, and influence across functional & business boundaries
  • Strong attention to customer service; adaptable to different work styles and personalities
  • Results oriented individual with a high level of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • 7+ years accounting and financial analysis experience in an international environment.
  • BA or BS in Finance, Economics, Business with strong academic record; advanced degree (MBA, JD, Ph.D.) is preferred
  • Ability to think strategically and to proactively identify, research, prioritize and resolve transfer pricing issues
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to provide senior management with actionable advice
  • Able to work in a dynamic, informal, often ambiguous and rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and partner well with people at all levels within an organization
  • Self-starter, hard-working and quick learner
  • Knowledge in transfer pricing planning and technical expertise
